Accomplishments in Martial Arts.

  • Represented JUDO for  N. Natal  and received Colours..
  • Took part in the South African Games twice for Judo 
  • South African karate All Style PROTEA junior members x 7 
  • Two world junior champions in the all style international sport arena WKF and WUKF kata division. 
  • Produced 80 Seiwa Kai Black belts, 
  • 150 WP all styles champions are accredited to Peter Klipfel Kyoshi tuition. 
  • 70 National champions came from the TableView/ Hout Bay Dojo.
  • Represented  Western Province at National Level on several occassions
  • National Champion kata 
  • Veteran  Champion  Gold Medal All Styles. PE 
  • Represented self  in a tournament in Singapore .. Apartheid times for Goju kai 
  • Graded in Japan under Gogen Yamaguchi  for Nidan

Peter Klipfel Kyoshi 7th Dan  

*Short History 

  • Started karate 1968 in Vryheid Natal under Rob Ferriere JKA 
  • Started JUDO 1969 – 1974  ( Received Natal Colours)  Shodan 
  • Started Karate 1971 – 74  JKA  Vryheid Natal up to Brown Belt 
  • Short Stint with Kimura Shito Ryu 1977/78   White – to Orange
  • JKA  Cape Town under the late Nigel Jackson 1978 – 80  
  • Okinawan Goju Ryu  under Harry Pieterkoski  1980 – 1982 –  Nidan 
  • Joined the IKGA under Peter Brandon Shihan – Japanese Goju Ryu
  • Joined  Seiwakai 2000 under Ben Mare and Leo Lipinski 5th to 7th Dan present – Japanese Goju Ryu.
  • Vice President of Seiwakai South Africa 
  • Godan in the JKF Gojukai   2005 
  • Graded to 7th Dan in 2019

Originally from 1983 – 1999  a student of Peter Brandon Hanshi of the IKGA. Great years under the guidance of  top class instructors.. In 2000 he joined  Seiwa Kai Goju Ryu under the leadership of Ben Mare shihan that is the president of Seiwa Kai South Africa..

The TABLEVIEW  Seiwa Kai dojo  was established in  1990.. 

We hold to the following rules and etiquette.   

  • Strict Traditional Japanese Goju Ryu Karate training..
  • We are NOT a sport karate dojo. However our kata are all defined by the JKF gojukai.
  • Students and instructors aspire to train hard to reach excellence.. Students will become instructors and continue the legacy of Gogen Yamaguchi and Shuji Tasaki sensei.
