Over the years karate has gone from Budo karate to  Sport karate mainly to entertain children and those wanting to win medals , which in my opinion watered down Karate and now karate is on the rise back to where it originated. Shoshinkai since 2013 now only teaches BUDO karate to adults from age 15. However if younger members show grit they to can join. Call 0828762516 WhatsApp  or Email us

WHAT IS BUDO KARATE ??

Japanese Budo karate is a martial arts philosophy and lifestyle that emphasizes self-cultivation, mental and spiritual growth, and personal development through the practice of karate, rather than just physical combat or sport. Budo, translating to “the martial way,” guides the practitioner to integrate the teachings of the warrior’s code (Bushido) into their daily life to foster virtues such as courage, honor, and respect, leading to a matured personality and a better society.

Budo karate focuses and emphasizes personal development, traditional values, and a holistic approach to life rather than just competitive success. Budo’s value lies in its integrated focus on cultivating mental, spiritual, and physical strength to find one’s “way” of living, fostering discipline, humility, and character alongside physical skill
